This is the list of items which satisfied the criteria specified to the right. Click on an item to select it (causing info to be displayed in the info region of the window). Double click (or press Return) to mark or unmark the item with a '‚àö' character.
This shows the criteria for the current or upcoming scan. Click in this area to display a 'floating' window via which you can change these criteria.
This area displays the number of items represented in the list to the left.
This area displays info about a selected item. Clicking the area where pathname appears causes a 'windowlette' to appear showing the FULL pathname. Clicking the dog ear, if present, causes info to be displayed on the original file an alias points to.
Click in this area to display a popup menu of all volumes currently online. Select the volume with which you would like to work by releasing the mouse button while the cursor is over the item in the menu.
Click here to scan the hard drive/partition selected ( via popup menu immediately to the right ) based on criteria specified below.
Click here if you want to check to see that the currently selected alias is, in fact, valid. To validate the entire list, select 'Validate All' from the AliasBOSS menu. To validate items marked '‚àö', press and hold the Option key while clicking.
Click here if you want to save the current item as an alias file. Option-clicking saves all items in the list that are marked with the '‚àö' character.
Click here if you want to trash the currently selected item. Press the Option key while clicking to trash all aliases marked '√'. Press Control while clicking to remove items marked '•'.
NOTE: You can only trash alias files with the AliasBOSS.
